Pet Periodontal Disease Treatments

Your Pet Dentist provides a full range of periodontic services, including:

  • Routine Dental Prophylaxis (teeth cleaning and oral health evaluation)
  • Open and Closed Root Planing (deep cleaning and scaling)
  • Guided Tissue Regeneration (a dental procedure that is performed to allow normal, healthy tissue to regenerate a site that at the moment, is not healthy and is void of healthy tissue and bone.)
  • Bone Grafting of Periodontal Pockets (the replacement of missing bone due to periodontal disease)
  • Gingivectomy/Gingivoplasty (the removal of gum tissue due to disease or malformation)
  • Lateral Sliding & Apical Repositioning Flaps (grafts of gum tissue used to cover exposed roots)
  • Crown Lengthening Procedures (removal of gum tissue to expose more tooth area)
  • Tooth Splinting (attaching weak, loose or traumatized teeth to neighboring teeth to provide greater stability)
